How we protect your words
Your words stay yours
This journal asks for your honest thoughts, so you deserve honest answers about where they go. Here they are, without the legal fog.
No one reads your entries.
Not me, not a team, not a curious algorithm looking for patterns to sell. Your entries are stored privately under your account, and the app is built so that only you can see them.
Your email is for signing in, nothing more.
When you save your journal, you sign in with your email. That is a key, and only a key. You will never get marketing from me because you made a journal entry. If you want the monthly reset letter, there is a box you can tick. It starts unticked, and it stays your choice.
Your data is never sold.
Ever. There are no ads here, no data brokers, no third parties peeking over your shoulder. This app exists so you have somewhere quiet to write, and quiet means quiet.
You can take everything with you.
In Settings, you can export every entry you have ever written. They are your words. You should be able to hold them.
You can leave completely.
Delete your account and your entries go with it, permanently. No copies kept for a rainy day, no "deactivated but saved" limbo. When you say gone, it is gone.
What actually gets stored:
your email address, your journal entries, and the basics needed to keep the app running. That is the whole list. Your entries live in a secure database (Supabase) and the app is served over an encrypted connection, the same protection your bank uses in transit.
This app is for adults. If reading the fine print is your kind of self-care, the full privacy policy is right here
If anything about privacy ever feels unclear, ask me. You can reach me at info@positivelypenned.com This only works if you trust it, and trust should never require a law degree.
